Once there lived a black crow on its nest. It was envious of the swan’s beauty, admired its graceful, white feathers and thought, "I must be the most beautiful bird in the world." Feeling insecure about its own plain black feathers, the crow approached the swan and asked, “How did you become so beautiful?”
The swan replied, “You’re already the most beautiful bird because you are so clever.” Confused, the crow asked how that could be. The swan explained, “Beauty can be fleeting, but intelligence and wisdom will help you thrive in the world.
It’s your wit that makes you stand out, not just your appearance.” The crow learned that beauty isn’t everything and that wisdom and intelligence are far more valuable.
This story reminds us not to overlook the power of intellect.
