Once upon a time there lived a crow happily in a tree in the dense forest. Once the crow was happily perched on a tree with a delicious piece of cheese in its beak. He was happy to get the tasty food. At that time a silly fox happened the nearby.
It spotted the cheese and immediately began flattering the crow. “Oh, how magnificent your feathers are! And I’m sure your voice is just as beautiful as your appearance,” the fox said. The crow, flattered by the compliment, opened its beak to sing. As soon as it did, the piece of cheese fell to the ground, and the fox quickly snatched it up. The crow realized too late that it had been tricked by the fox’s flattery.
The moral of this story teaches us to be cautious with flattery and not to let our vanity make us vulnerable.
