Crow and the Ostrich story for kids

Crow and the ostrich
Once there lived an ostrich in a big field. It was a big bird of the nature. But it was always envy of its neighbor birds. One day the ostrich boasted to a crow, “I am the fastest and most powerful bird in this world. No one can outrun me or outmatch my strength.”

The crow didn’t say anything but quietly observed. A few days later, a hunter appeared in the area, and the ostrich tried to outrun him. Despite its speed, the ostrich was trapped by the hunter’s net. The crow, however, was able to fly to safety, avoiding the trap. The ostrich, now realizing that speed and strength weren’t everything, learned a valuable lesson in humility.

The crow had shown that sometimes intelligence and adaptability are just as important for survival.
